Job summary

Southern Air, Inc. in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Lead/Master Plumber to oversee commercial plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance. You will lead crews, ensure quality and safety, and support project delivery.

This role requires 5+ years of experience, licenses preferred, reading blueprints, adherence to codes, and a commitment to safety. We offer ESOP ownership and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plumbing experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Journeyman or Master Plumber License preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and safety practices.
• Proven leadership or crew supervision experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee plumbing crews on commercial job sites.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute plumbing installations and system layouts.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
• Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and company expectations.
• Troubleshoot complex plumbing issues and implement effective solutions.
• Install and maintain piping systems, fixtures, water heaters, and related equipment.
• Train, mentor, and support apprentices and junior plumbers.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades.
• Order materials and manage job site resources efficiently.
• Perform quality checks and ensure timely project completion.
