Job summary

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or GED.
  • 3-year UA or other state-approved apprenticeship or a minimum of 8 years plumbing trade experience.
  • Ability to operate and use standard plumbing tools and equipment and to read, write, observe and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled plumbing repairs including backflow preventers, water mains, fire systems, acid waste lines, glass drain lines, sewage injector pumps, sump pumps, air lines and gas lines.
  • Plan, inspect and maintain backflow preventers throughout campus and plumbing systems.
  • Complete work orders and coordinate with other trades, University departments and/or contractors.
  • Lead others and provide training and supervision as assigned by the Supervisor.
