Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of maintenance, diagnostics, repair and overhaul experience on diesel, gasoline, electric and heavy equipment.
• Proven leadership mentoring, training and directing mechanics in fleet operations.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, brake, suspension, steering, drivetrain, HVAC and engine systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs, safety practices and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, inspections, maintenance, repair and overhaul of equipment including wheeled and track vehicles, power generation, material handling and diverse systems.
• Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance to support mission requirements and performance standards.
• Monitor equipment availability, repair timelines and labor hours to maximize fleet readiness.
• Assign work tasks based on skill level, workload and priorities; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Lead safety discussions and promote safe maintenance practices in the shop.
• Ensure documentation accuracy for work orders, labor entries and parts usage.
• Communicate status and requirements to management and customers; coordinate procurement of parts.
