An established industry player is seeking a skilled mechanic to join their fleet management team. This role involves performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment while also providing leadership and training to junior staff. You will be responsible for diagnosing complex issues, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring that all fleet vehicles are in optimal condition. The purpose of this classification is to perform skilled/mechanical work functions associated with repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles and heavy mechanical equipment. This position can also be used in a Lead role to oversee, assign, inspect, lower classification mechanic and technicians work. Perform quality inspections prior to vehicles being released back to the customer. The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Fleet Management Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in mechanics preferred; supplemented by three (3) years previous journey-level work experience and/or training involving automotive/mechanical repair and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid ASE Master Auto Mechanic certification and an ASE Master Truck Mechanic certification, and/or EVT certification. Must possess and maintain valid Air Conditioning/CFC Recovery certification. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License, a valid Georgia Class A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
ASE Master Auto Mechanic Certification and an ASE Master Truck Mechanic Certification, and/or an EVT Certification.
