Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Master Electrician to manage electrical systems across city facilities, ensuring safe, reliable power delivery and compliant installations.

You will lead crews, coordinate maintenance, and supervise projects involving high voltage equipment, meters, traffic signals, and other city infrastructure, with opportunities to testify as an expert in court when needed.

Qualifications

• Six years of electrical experience, with two in a lead or supervisory role.
• Valid Texas Class C driver's license.
• Master Electrician license or equivalent per state requirements.
• 12,000 hours on-the-job training under master electrician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electricians, assign duties, and monitor performance.
• Plan and manage electrical maintenance and installations.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Code, OSHA, and city regulations.
• Testify as expert witness when required.
