The Lead Wellness Technician (Dual Licensed in Esthetics preferred) is responsible for leading the wellness technician team, ensuring they are trained to provide spa guests with current protocols in massage, facial treatments, and high-level guest service, in line with directives from the Spa Director and Manager, delivering a luxury and relaxing spa experience.

All duties are performed in accordance with Sunseeker Resorts policies, as well as state, departmental, and property standards.

Job Duties

  • Provide spa guests with a comfortable and relaxing experience while prioritizing safety.
  • Train, perform, and audit current and new spa team members on massage, body treatments, facial protocols, and additional services.
  • Collaborate with the Spa Assistant Manager on training and escorting guests efficiently to treatment rooms.
  • Ensure treatments are tailored to each guest's needs.
  • Manage treatment schedules, ensuring coverage and stepping in for call-outs as needed.
  • Motivate and coach the team through daily stand-ups and sharing updates.
  • Maintain equipment and report any issues to Spa Management.
  • Stay updated on industry innovations and continue professional development.
  • Identify training needs for spa technicians and ensure licensing and CEU requirements are met.
  • Provide coaching and counseling as needed, reporting to Spa Assistant Manager.
  • Perform monthly inventories of products and linens, ensuring proper usage.
  • Ensure timely and professional service delivery, maintaining cleanliness and stock levels in treatment areas.
  • Adhere to all spa employee handbook guidelines and perform other related duties.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 500+ hours from accredited Massage or 1200 hours Cosmologist School.
  • Current Florida & NCBTMB or MBLEx Massage/Esthetician license.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on massage and skincare experience.
  • 2-4 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in luxury resort, day spa, or hotel environment.

Other Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and spa software.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Mature discretion, sound judgment, and strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
