Job summary

A long-standing New Jersey law firm in Woodbridge is seeking an associate for its plaintiffs' mass tort and class action group. This is a working litigation seat: you own files, take depositions, and argue in court.

Requirements include at least three years in mass tort, class action, or plaintiff personal injury litigation and New Jersey admission. New York admission or transferable UBE score is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• At least three years in mass tort, class action or plaintiff personal injury litigation.
• Admitted in New Jersey.
• New York admission, or a transferable UBE score, helpful but not required.
• Comfortable in both state and federal court.
• Science or medical background welcome.

Responsibilities

• Mass tort and class action cases from the first client meeting through settlement or verdict.
• Pleadings, discovery and motions in New Jersey state and federal courts.
• Depositions of fact witnesses and experts.
• Direct contact with clients and with the scientists and physicians whose opinions drive these cases.
• A voice in which cases the group takes and how they get tried.
