Job summary

Safe Boats International, LLC seeks a Mechanical Designer to manage CAD systems and lead a team of drafters and engineers. You will design vessel mechanical systems, coordinate with production, and ensure drawings and BOMs meet standards for high- quality products.

The role involves collaborating with BD, Sales, and Operations to support proposals and deliver projects on time, with a focus on safety and performance in mission-focused applications.

Qualifications

• 3 years relevant experience required in marine systems design or engineering.
• Degree in Marine Systems Design and/or Engineering preferred.
• Experience leading projects and drafting teams is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CAD design of vessel mechanical systems and 3D models.
• Coordinate with production and cross-functional teams on projects.
• Develop technical drawings, specifications and BOMs.
• Inspect installations for conformance to design and safety standards.
• Support business development with quotes and technical responses.
