Job summary

Del Mar College seeks an Adjunct – Mariachi Pool to lead and teach a dynamic mariachi ensemble. The role includes scheduling performances for on- and off-campus events and maintaining professional relations with students, colleagues, and the community.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and prior experience leading a successful mariachi ensemble at the high school or college level, and be able to integrate instructional technologies into teaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience leading a successful high school or college Mariachi ensemble.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and engage students in music instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead a very active mariachi ensemble and coordinate performances.
• Develop and apply teaching methods and materials for diverse student backgrounds.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
• Contribute to instruction quality and program growth.
