Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineering Lead in Batesburg, SC to direct ~8 Test Engineers. You will develop test strategies, oversee ICT/functional tests, DFT/DFX integration, and drive improvements in yield and fault detection while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Travel up to 25% may be required. The role demands 8+ years in electronics test engineering with leadership experience and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electronics manufacturing test engineering with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICT, functional testing, boundary scan, and environmental stress screening.
• Experience with test validation methodologies and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with IPC, ISO, IRIS, ANSI, JEDEC standards and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~8 Test Engineers designing, implementing, and validating manufacturing test solutions.
• Develop and maintain test strategies, procedures, and documentation for new and legacy products.
• Oversee test validation, MSA, and failure investigations; ensure test coverage aligns with specs.
