Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material and production needs. This role impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning and execution. It offers some autonomy but primarily focuses on executing activities within standard practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required, typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Manage master planning, material processes, and systems; prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plans and KPIs. Optimize inventory and implement process improvements.
2. Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, utilizing prior experience and technical expertise to execute policies and strategies.
3. Understand key business drivers and how the work of your team integrates with other teams, contributing to overall objectives.
4. Use judgment to propose solutions outside set parameters with guidance, applying prior experience and technical skills to solve straightforward tasks. Access internal sources to aid decision-making.
5. This level typically involves individual contribution with proven interpersonal skills or early leadership capabilities, including hiring and developing talent. Provide informal guidance to new team members.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in material planning/execution.
2. Minimum of 3 years in material planning/execution.
3. GE Leadership Program Graduate may substitute for experience.

Desired Characteristics

Strong oral and written communication skills, problem analysis and resolution abilities, program documentation and execution skills, and project management experience.
