Job Description Summary
As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Product Owner at our Auburn, AL site, you will be responsible for departmental operations planning/execution and be focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. In this role, you will function with some autonomy but will be guided by established policies or review of end results.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy
  • Use some judgment and propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles
  • Use technical experience and analytical thinking
  • Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Lead small projects
  • Explain information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field
  • Convey performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing and/or Manufacturing Engineering Specialist experience)
  • Additional 3 years of Manufacturing and/or Manufacturing Engineering Specialist experience
