Job summary

GE Vernova in Bangor, Maine is seeking an on-site manufacturing engineer to define and control CNC processes, validate designs, and develop lean production methods. You will contribute to New Product Introduction and support shop-floor tooling, equipment, and process improvements.

Required is a Bachelor's in engineering (or equivalent with manufacturing experience) and at least 1 year of CNC experience. Must be eligible to work in the USA and onsite in Bangor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of CNC experience.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and NC programming/CAM.

Responsibilities

  • Define and control the production process including tooling and equipment.
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support safety, delivery, cost, and Lean Roadmap priorities.
  • Support New Product Introduction and CNC processes.
  • Participate in monthly Lean Kaizen events.

Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Develop and maintain manufacturing methods to support the safety, delivery, delivery, cost (SQDC) priorities. Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Understand key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions. A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal and time management skills. Regular participation in monthly Lean Kaizen events to support the Lean Roadmap. Support New Product Introduction. Support CNC processes.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
