Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Harker Heights, Texas, seeks a day shift, full-time Lead Mammography Technologist to oversee the mammography department. You will perform and supervise mammography exams, ensure patient care quality, and manage daily operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, 2+ years of mammography experience, GMRT and ARRT licensure (R and M), and BLS within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 2+ years of mammography technologist experience.
• Texas GMRT license and ARRT licensure (R and M); BLS within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily clinical and administrative operations of the mammography department.
• Explain the mammography procedure to patients and families.
• Perform mammography examinations with proper imaging parameters (MAS, KVP, positioning).
• Educate new and existing clinical team members as needed.
• Manage clinical team daily and ensure policy compliance with company guidelines.
• Perform quality control on equipment and report potential malfunctions.
• Maintain documentation supporting quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as liaison with physicians for clinical information and timely responses.
• Coordinate with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging and continuous improvement.
• Order supplies for the division and maintain department paperwork.
