Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s St Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking a Radiography/Mammography Technologist to perform exams with precision and compassion within our integrated cancer care network.

You will ensure MQSA, ACR, and FDA standards, position patients correctly, and work as part of a skilled team dedicated to high-quality imaging and patient care across Hartford HealthCare's network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license required.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• Minimum 2 years Mammography experience.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiography and mammography exams per protocol and department procedures.
• Ensure MQSA, ACR, and FDA QC standards are met.
• Position patients and set exposure factors based on age, pathology and diagnosis.
• Maintain high-quality imaging data and accurate patient records.

Responsibilities

• Performs Radiography and Mammography examinations on identified patients according to department and procedures and protocols by positioning patients, preparing contrast medias, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, and selecting the correct exposure factors utilizing the assessment of patient age, pathology and diagnosis to produce reliable and informational data.
• Ensures optimal technical quality and accuracy of all mammographic examinations according to MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act), the American College of Radiology (ACR), and FDA quality control requirements.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• State of Connecticut Radiographer license
• ARRT certification in Radiography

Experience

• At least two (2) years Mammography experience required
• Previous lead/Supervisory experience preferred
