Job summary
San Bernardino County’s Department of Public Works, Special Districts - Water and Sanitation Division is recruiting for Maintenance Workers III who act as lead workers for the operations and maintenance of water treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection systems and related facilities, providing supervision to subordinate maintenance workers.
The role requires CA SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade D3 and T2 Water Treatment certifications, a CA Class C driver license, and the
Qualifications
- Must possess CA SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade D3.
- CA SWRCB T2 Water Treatment certification required.
- Three years of recent experience in maintenance and repair or inspection of water/wastewater equipment.
- Valid CA Class C driver license.
Responsibilities
- Act as lead worker for operations and maintenance of water treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
- Provide supervision to subordinate maintenance workers.
- Work outdoors in varied weather conditions at multiple county sites.
- Respond to emergency calls and work weekends/holidays as needed.
