Your Role at Baxter

Lead the maintenance team in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and systems through preventative maintenance and root cause analysis. Oversee installation of new equipment and upgrades. Perform supervisor duties in their absence. Review Maximo work orders for effectiveness and data accuracy.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Complete CWRs, PM Maintenance Request Approvals, Security Authorization, Change Control forms, and related documentation.
  • Provide leadership in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • Train team members (MT, MT2, SMT, PT).
  • Troubleshoot and repair robotics and electronics independently.
  • Lead technician for new equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as drawing packages, multi-meters, laptops to resolve electrical issues.
  • Address equipment, process, and compliance issues; perform unscheduled maintenance promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols including Arc Flash, Lock Out Tag Out, and electrical safety training.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with work order and maintenance procedures, including pre-approvals and signoffs.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and document all work in Maximo.
  • Maintain strict adherence to environmental health and safety (EHS) standards and SOPs to ensure safe, quality production.
  • Collaborate with EHS to ensure compliance, addressing Hazard IDs appropriately.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform mechanical systems troubleshooting, fabrication, and welding.
  • Support other tasks as needed to ensure plant production.
What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical School training preferred.
  • 10+ years of maintenance experience on automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of Maximo preferred.
  • Expertise with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron) and ability to connect via Laptop and Pendants.
  • Proficiency in electrical/mechanical drawings and locating programs.
  • Expertise with motor controls, VFDs, servos, stepper motors, high-speed packaging equipment, pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and part diagrams.
  • Knowledge of sensors, limit switches, temperature controllers (preferred).
  • Experience with maintenance of high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English and understanding of GMP regulations.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, PDFs.
  • Electrical knowledge covering AC/DC motors, drives, relays, switches, sensors, low-voltage systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Work around moving equipment.
  • Ability to wear PPE including glasses, ear plugs, hairnet, gown, gloves, face shield.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, twist, and work in tight spaces.
  • Normal visual acuity, including color distinction.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary range is $60,000 - $82,500, based on skills, experience, and location. For more details, consult with the recruiter during the interview process.
