Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes in Fort Drum, NY. You will oversee quality control, coordinate subcontracted activities, train maintenance staff, and perform general property maintenance across units, offices, and grounds.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. Real ID compliance is required for access to the federal facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vocational or Technical training in Maintenance related field.
• 3 - 5 years work related experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Competency in carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades.
• Associate’s degree in field of study.
• Preferred EPA, Electric, Appliance or General Contractor certifications.
• REAL ID Act compliance to access federal facility.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and complete maintenance requirements.
• Maintain property areas, including units, offices, grounds and parking.
• Install and connect appliances and ensure electrical/gas safety.
• Perform on-call emergency repairs as directed by supervision.
• Transport and move materials and equipment as needed.
• Repair and fabricate screens, and manage minor renovations.
• Inspect vehicles and coordinate contracted work when required.
• Train and coach maintenance staff as needed.
