Job summary

St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, NH, part of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, is seeking a hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to keep our facility safe, functional, and welcoming.

The role covers HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance, with every-other-weekend availability. You will lead maintenance tasks, support the Director of Maintenance, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations while delivering exceptional resident care in a small,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior lead/supervisory experience in an Environmental Services position.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Ability to participate in emergency evacuations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures and under the direction of the Director of Maintenance.
• Maintain grounds, parking areas, and driveways through trimming, sweeping, and general upkeep.
• Follow maintenance schedules and complete assigned unscheduled tasks efficiently.
• Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc., as requested and by using appropriate body mechanics, lifting devices or procedures.
• Maintain proper infection control and universal precaution practices during all maintenance procedures.
• Drive company vehicle to perform errands as assigned including assisting with resident transportation.
