Job summary

Bear Real Estate Group is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician II to support Eva Manor Apartments in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. The role handles more complex maintenance tasks, diagnostics, and repairs, and provides leadership by mentoring Technician I staff and overseeing turnovers.

You will work independently, manage preventative maintenance programs, participate in project work, and travel between properties for advanced support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5+ years of residential or facilities maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Organizational and project management skills.
• Experience training and mentoring junior staff.
• Must provide and maintain personal hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks and basic repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Diagnose and repair moderate-to-complex issues in building systems.
• Lead preventative maintenance programs across building systems.
• Mentor Technician I staff and oversee unit turnovers.
• Assist in larger projects (upgrades, renovations, capital improvements).
• Participate in bids for repairs/projects up to $5,000 and advise Property Manager.
• Conduct thorough inspections and maintain logs for inspections and safety systems.
• Travel between properties for advanced support and project work.
• Maintain professionalism with residents, vendors, and team members.
