Join to apply for the Lead Maintenance Technician-HVAC WMCG role at Wellstar Health System.

This is a multi-task lead position responsible for maintenance and inspection of critical systems such as HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, controls (Metasys), air quality filtration, and patient calls in all AU Health buildings. The role involves completing assigned projects alongside normal maintenance jobs, assisting in the development and training of Maintenance Technicians, and performing in a lead role on projects. Providing excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff is essential.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Perform refrigeration system maintenance: inspect for leaks, repair, install units, and maintain refrigerant records, complying with Georgia regulations.
  • Maintain air handlers: understand basic operation, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Complete required paperwork: maintain logs, submit work orders, and ensure routine tasks are completed on time.
  • Customer service: promote satisfaction, communicate effectively, and maintain professionalism.
  • Maintain pump and compressor systems: inspect for leaks, repairs, and ensure operational functionality.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • State of Georgia Warm Air Card and valid driver's license
  • At least 3 years of HVAC experience
  • Thorough knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and controls functions
