Job summary

Tipton Asset Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for a 264-unit property in Dallas, TX. You will lead the maintenance team, oversee daily operations, respond to resident needs and ensure work is completed to company standards.

You will supervise maintenance staff, prioritize work orders, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and coordinate with vendors. A valid driver’s license and HVAC certification are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification is required.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and preventative maintenance.
• Must provide and maintain basic hand tools.
• Ability to diagnose problems, prioritize work and complete repairs efficiently.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lead by example and work well in a team.
• Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, vendors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support the maintenance team in daily work and community upkeep.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests, work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and building systems.
• Perform and oversee grounds work including trash removal and light landscaping.
• Regularly inspect property, buildings, common areas and equipment for maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Ensure vacant apartments are prepared and maintained for new residents.
• Respond to resident maintenance concerns professionally and promptly.
• Be available for on-call and 24-hour maintenance emergencies as required.
• Help train, coach and develop maintenance staff and promote teamwork.
• Maintain organized inventory of tools, equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of work.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures and laws/regulations.
• Step in to perform hands-on maintenance when needed.

As the Lead Maintenance Technicians, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations and general upkeep of the apartment community. The Job

Our maintenance technicians are an integral part of keeping our residents satisfied. The Lead Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing hands-on leadership while ensuring the community's maintenance operations run smoothly.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead, supervise, and support the maintenance team in completing daily work and community upkeep.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests, work orders, and preventative maintenance.

The Details

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience.
