Job summary

Arconic is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to drive reliability in the Mechanical Utilities Department. You will supervise up to four supervisors and 100+ hourly craft employees, coordinating maintenance and upskilling activities across Davenport Works.

The role emphasizes ABS tools such as TPM, Kaizen, Daily Management, and 5S, with ITAR considerations and US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing maintenance activities or leading planning and implementation of equipment evaluation and improvements.
• This position is ITAR-restricted to U.S. persons (citizen, green card holder, etc.).
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience managing maintenance activities or leading planning and equipment activities (preferred).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Systems tools in a maintenance environment (preferred).
• Not a shift work position; must be available 24/7 or as needed to meet business needs (preferred).
• Expert technical knowledge of processes to drive maintenance performance excellence (preferred).
• Expert knowledge of EHS procedures, rules, and regulations pertaining to maintenance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drive team maturity through direct reports.
• Ensure specialist roles are effective and filled.
• Coordinate upskilling activities in crafts to close knowledge gaps.
• Ensure trainee programs are effective and curriculum followed.
• Lead problem solving to increase productivity and equipment reliability.
• Develop and execute plans for world-class reliability and performance.
• Support the MUC Superintendent to meet annual objectives.
• Assist Central Maintenance Manager in plant-wide maintenance systems and resource management.
