Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Technician in West Sacramento, CA. This Lead Maintenance Technician position is a Direct Hire opportunity.
This Lead Maintenance Technician position requires candidates to lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring the company properties remain safe, clean, and fully functional. From routine upkeep and repairs to groundskeeping and heaving cleaning, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the quality and appearance of the company’s sites. Responsibilities for this Maintenance Technician position includes but are not limited to:
· Ensure all employees work in a safe and environmentally conscious manner and are trained in established standard operating procedures and policies.
· Ensure all employees fully utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate for the task.
· Work on-site at various properties, performing all levels of general maintenance work either alone or as a leader of the Maintenance Technicians.
· Evaluate equipment, materials, and labor needed to complete maintenance tasks.
· Collaborate with others to implement and maintain services.
· Schedule work assignments, oversee work quality, manage assigned and identified projects through completion.
· Train Facilities Technicians on safety, tool use, company and facility requirements.
· Prioritize and assign work orders.
· Schedule maintenance activities with the Facilities Supervisor and determine assignments for work activities based on work priority and skill of personnel.
· Perform general housekeeping duties at company facilities to include, but not limited to, sweeping grounds, cleaning up fuel or petroleum spills, cleaning machines, dispensers and equipment, and gathering and emptying trash at assigned facilities.
· Ensure Maintenance Technicians working at small and large quantity hazardous waste generating facilities are trained and working in compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Follow procedures for the safe and mindful use of chemical cleaners and powered equipment to prevent damage to facilities; mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
· Notify the Facilities Supervisor and Manager concerning the need for major repairs; inform Supervisor of supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
· Make adjustments or minor repairs to facilities including, but not limited to, irrigation equipment, hoses and nozzles.
· Maintain facilities by using motorized hedge trimmers, mowers or other hand or power equipment; weed and mulch landscape beds; remove dead, damaged or unwanted shrubbery and trees; perform weed abatement services; and clear debris from grounds.
· Move heavy drums and supplies, either with equipment, manually or by using hand trucks.
· Inspect and maintain stormwater discharge systems to comply with NPDES permits.
· Conduct air quality inspections, hazardous waste inspections or other safety inspections at assigned facilities.
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this Lean Maintenance Technician position:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· 3+ years of experience in commercial/industrial maintenance with 2 years of supervisory experience
· OSHA 24-hour HAZWOPER training certificate
· Reasonable Suspicion Training
· Harassment Prevention Training
· Hazardous Waste Management
