Prime Group – PMG Asset Services is seeking a hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to manage day-to-day repairs and upkeep of a multifamily community in Estero, FL. You will handle plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and coordinating tasks with the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, 1 year of maintenance experience, 1 year of Yardi experience, HVAC & EPA certification, and availability for on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, painting and carpentry.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, appliances and other equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and coordinate with team.
  • Inspect property and equipment to identify issues and implement preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Job Summary

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for handling day-to-day essential repairs and upkeep of the residential community, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment for residents. This role involves performing a wide variety of tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, carpentry, and general repairs. Additionally, the Lead Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing the maintenance team and ensures that all work is completed to the highest standards of service.

What You'll Do
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and carpentry
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, appliances, and other mechanical equipment
  • Address and resolve maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property and equipment to identify and address potential issues early
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and materials
  • Maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, fitness centers, and outdoor spaces
  • Perform landscaping tasks, such as mowing, trimming, and trash removal, as needed
  • Be available for on-call emergency maintenance services outside of regular working hours
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize inconvenience to residents
  • Interact professionally with residents, addressing maintenance concerns and providing excellent service
  • Communicate effectively with property management and team members to coordinate maintenance activities
What You Bring
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance
  • At least 1 year of Yardi experience
  • At least 1 year of managerial experience
  • HVAC & EPA certification is required
  • Must be available to perform on-call emergency services when needed
  • Must be proficient with personal computers
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems with sound safety practices
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be legally eligible for employment in the U.S.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
