Job summary

WestRock External Jobs in Concord, NC seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance activities, ensure safety and GMP compliance, and drive equipment efficiency. You will manage a team of mechanics and operators, conduct shift meetings, and coordinate with cross-functional departments to achieve 100% PM/Work Order compliance.

The role requires a 7-year maintenance background, 3 years of leadership, and a 4-year degree preferred, with CMMS experience and strong

Qualifications

• 7 years' experience in the maintenance field including troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics with industrial manufacturing equipment.
• 3 years of manufacturing/maintenance leadership.
• 4 year college degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience utilizing and optimizing CMMS systems to improve maintenance operations and manufacturing performance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good math and analytical skills.
• Ability to train, motivate and develop employees.
• Flexibility to work off shifts, holidays, weekends, occasionally long hours, as deemed necessary by S&D.

Responsibilities

• Provide the necessary leadership to attain the maximum efficiency of equipment, labor, and time.
• Responsible for the development of mechanics, operators, and co-workers in safety, food safety, GMP's, equipment knowledge, and overall operations performance.
• Lead and actively participate in shift meetings focusing on communication, safety, issues, and priorities.
• Ensure 100% PM/Work Order compliance by coordinating with planners and purchasing resources.
• Communicate with other departments' leadership on initiatives that affect performance.
• Participate and lead continuous improvement groups and meetings.
• Supervise equipment rebuilds, repairs, and PM tasks with thorough, timely execution.
