Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Hide Department in Grand Island, Nebraska. The role will oversee daily maintenance operations, troubleshoot and install equipment, and lead a team to ensure reliable, safe, and compliant performance in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, strong electrical/hydraulic/welding/PLC knowledge, and the ability to guide technicians and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 3–5 years of general industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience leading a maintenance team is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, welding, and PLC basics.

Responsibilities

• Supports day-to-day operations of the Hide Maintenance Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant functioning of all equipment and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoots, installs new equipment, repairs existing systems, and maintains operational reliability within the Hide area.
• Directs assigned maintenance personnel and allocates preventive maintenance and planned work orders.
• Records job progress and reports daily time distribution; responds to emergency maintenance needs.
• Ensures work meets specifications and safety/food safety standards; communicates equipment issues to leadership.
