Job summary

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc. is seeking a General Foreman - Maintenance/Refractory at the Dunkirk facility. You will lead safety-first field work, plan maintenance and refractory activities, and coordinate with operations to maximize equipment reliability.

You will supervise skilled trades and contractors, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and scheduling requirements in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in heavy industrial settings.
• Experience leading skilled trades, supervisors or contractors.
• Hands-on experience with maintenance, troubleshooting and refractory work.
• Experience planning shutdowns and outages with CMMS systems.
• Strong safety leadership and front-line supervision capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and field execution for maintenance and refractory work.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Manage manpower schedules and contractor activities to support outages.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering and Safety to meet plant priorities.
• Drive equipment reliability improvements and root-cause problem solving.
