Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services seeks a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to lead and support maintenance, repair, and construction operations across Eastern State Hospital, Lakeland Village, and Pine Lodge. You will help keep buildings, systems, and equipment safe, reliable, and compliant with Joint Commission, CMS, and state standards.

The role requires an approved apprenticeship in a skilled mechanical trade and either 1 year of journey-level maintenance experience or 3 years

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanical trade.
• Minimum 1 year journey-level experience in building/equipment maintenance, construction or repair; or 3 years as Maintenance Mechanic 2.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance work at Eastern State Hospital, Lakeland Village, and Pine Lodge.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and State Fire Marshal standards.
• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems and components.
• Provide preventive maintenance and develop cost estimates for installations and repairs.
