Job summary

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System Inc in Jackson, MS seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to direct and perform maintenance tasks across the hospital facilities. You will coordinate repairs, manage work orders, and supervise staff to maintain safety and code compliance.

You will lead routine systems testing (generator, fire alarm, sprinkler, hood and duct, nurse call, hot water) and ensure timely, accurate reporting and inventory management, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years’ supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant role.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, and generators; able to use word-processing, database and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance activities, coordinates and performs repairs.
• Directs daily work assignments; schedules and reassigns staff as needed.
• Participates in repairs across masonry, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
• Schedules, delegates or completes work orders and monitors timely completion.
• Maintains records of maintenance and conducts routine tests on systems and equipment.
• Develops inventory and oversees purchasing within budgetary constraints.
• Ensures safety, infection control standards and building codes are followed.
• On-call for emergencies, overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
