Job summary

Good Samaritan in Loveland, CO is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks in a safe, professional manner. You will assess conditions, follow engineering and safety practices, and coordinate with staff to ensure a secure environment.

The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, use of hand tools, meters, and blueprints; you may supervise other technicians and assist management with work orders, preventive maintenance, and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school or vocational training preferred.
• Five Years Of Experience In Building Systems Preferred.
• When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks in a safe, professional manner.
• Must take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and keep tools out of reach of children.
• Must possess basic mechanical knowledge, and show competence in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges.
• Ability to work from blueprints, schematics and technical manuals helpful.
• Performs and oversees work quality inspections on a routine basis to ensure all work orders are being completed following acceptable engineering practices.
• Functions with safety, morale, and efficiency of the department and team in mind.
• Must possess the skills necessary to perform evaluations of all types of building and equipment repairs.
• Acts as a resource to staff and assists management with the department personnel and operations.
• Must be able to direct and supervise other maintenance mechanics and assist management with office procedures, work orders, and inventory.
• Good written and oral communications skills are essential and must explain conditions clearly while troubleshooting.
• Ability to work all shifts; complies with policies and dress code.
• May include installation and maintenance of mechanical systems including boiler operations and grounds maintenance.
