Job summary

Caleres is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join the Bakersfield, CA team. You will spearhead diagnostics and maintain machinery to ensure safety and productivity in the warehouse, while leading projects and training peers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

In this role, you will emphasize safety, operate PLC-based diagnostics, and manage conveyors and related systems. The position offers first shift hours with potential overtime and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience, including mechanical and electrical training.
• Experience with high-speed conveyor systems and related components.
• Proficient in using test and metering equipment.
• Must obtain Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) licenses within 90 days.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize Safety and follow all safety guidelines (Lock-out Tag-out, Fall protection, OSHA).
• Diagnostics & Maintenance using PLCs to diagnose and service equipment.
• Provide departmental training and maintain a learning mindset.
• Lead projects and direct team efforts throughout the project.
