Kaiva Services is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead and perform maintenance across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general facility systems in a Seaside, California facility. The role emphasizes hands-on work, proactive problem solving, and owning the facility’s maintenance needs.

The candidate will supervise technicians, plan workloads, and ensure safety, code compliance, and customer contract requirements while coordinating with the Project Manager and facility management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 7+ years in commercial/institutional maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years in a lead or supervisory maintenance role.
• Strong plumbing, HVAC and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and maintenance manuals; CMMS experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across plumbing, HVAC, electrical and general building systems.
• Supervise technicians, prioritize workloads, and communicate with the Project Manager.
• Diagnose and repair water, heating, cooling, and electrical issues; coordinate shutdowns and repairs.
• Maintain documentation in CMMS and ensure safety and contract compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and support facility improvement projects.
