Job Title: LEAD MAINFRAME PLATFORM ENGINEER

Project Location: MUST BE ABLE TO GO TO CORPORATE OFFICE IN PITTSBURG, PA ONCE A QUARTER FOR MEETINGS (EXPENSES WILL BE COVERED)

Duration: Full-time

Job Description: Candidates need to have high-level experience on a z/OS system, z/OS network experience, and DR Migration experience. Candidates with more experience in Subsystems and non z/OS platforms or limited experience in z/OS platforms may be rejected.

Key Skills to Look For:

• Experience with CICS, SMP/E, Sysplex, MVS, Disaster recovery, modernization, z/OS, JCL
• Experience with utility programs and products including IDCAMS, CLISTS/REXX, SORT, TSO, JCL

Position: Lead Mainframe z/OS Platform Infrastructure Systems Programmer/Admin - REMOTE - 1701

Responsibilities

1. Lead teams in defining complex requirements, deliverables, and timeframes with the customer. Escalate issues and recommend solutions.
2. Conduct root cause analysis to resolve complex IT Infrastructure problems.
3. Develop and deliver advanced technical training. Mentor less experienced team members.
4. Complete complex project tasks to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of IT Infrastructure projects.
5. Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, guidelines, and processes.
6. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of expert-level experience with z/OS systems and z/OS network.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery Migration.
• Proficiency in z/OS Mainframe Systems Programming including SMP/E, DB2, IMS, CICS, Sysplex, TCP/IP, JCL.
• Ability to work off-hours, weekends, and handle scheduled 24x7x365 on-call responsibilities.
• Experience collaborating with vendors to resolve software and system issues.
• Strong communication skills with all management levels.
• Good project management skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply complex technical concepts in a highly available environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
