Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Supervising Mail Operations Pharmacist to lead daily mail-order pharmacy activities and ensure accurate, safe dispensing of medications.

The role involves supervising pharmacy associates, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements within a high-volume operation. The position requires a PharmD or PharmD-equivalent, active pharmacist license, and at least one year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Licensed as a Pharmacist in the applicable state.
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily mail-order pharmacy workflow and operations.
• Ensure prescription accuracy, quality assurance, and medication tracking standards.
• Verify medication orders for safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise, coach, and support pharmacy associates.
• Resolve escalated operational and dispensing issues.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and service performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
• Maintain required documentation and support audit readiness.
