Sellars Absorbent Materials, Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a Lead Machine Operator to supervise a 12-hour shift on a large production line. The role emphasizes leadership, troubleshooting, and hands-on operation in a hot environment, with a 2-2-3 schedule and weekend rotation.

You will guide the shift team, ensure safety and quality standards, train new operators, and help optimize throughput on a 75-yard line while meeting customer requirements and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

• Overall responsibility for managing and controlling the DRC operation to produce quality product safely.
• Provide direction and leadership for the shift production team to sustain safety and efficiency.
• Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment; follow all safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate personal safety and help maintain a safe work environment for themselves and fellow members of the production team.
• Serve as the Team Leader when required.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions or production issues and offer improvement ideas.
• Continuously work as a hands-on, working operator.
• Assist with equipment setup, adjustment and operation.
• Assist with roll setup/changeover.
• Quality testing, shrink wrap, and use handling equipment to stage warehouse product.
• Perform routine maintenance on production assets and/or assist Maintenance Technicians.
