Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope seeks a Production Lead to oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring efficient, safe operations and high-quality output. You will bridge management and shop floor teams, coordinate workflow, and resolve issues to protect productivity and deadlines.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of production processes, safety, and quality control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Counsel, mentor, coach, and develop employees.
• Coordinate production workflow throughout the department and move resources as needed.
• Ability to communicate to opposite shifts to ensure proper shift handoffs.
• Ensure all crew members are prepared and ready for duty including having their proper PPE.
• Ability to enforce all company guidelines, standards, and policies including Safety & Quality.
• Ability to make quick business decisions such as adjusting/moving personnel, as needed to meet product requirements.
• Perform daily quality checks.
• Cross trained to safely operate all equipment and cover all positions as needed.
• Train department employees to safely and accurately perform tasks to predetermined standards.
• Notify management of equipment malfunctions and other potential safety issues.
• Maintain accurate production records, report issues, and suggest improvements.
• Assist in onboarding and training new team members on processes and safety.
• Address production delays, equipment malfunctions, and staffing challenges promptly.
