Job description

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Lead Machine Operator for our client in Greensboro.
Candidates should have at least 3+ years of recent Lead Production/Machine Operation experience.
This position works 3pm-11pm, Monday-Friday, with regular overtime.

Job Description:

  • Set up, operate, and oversee machines that shape raw materials into specified profiles and products.
  • Lead and coordinate the work of machine operators to meet production goals.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and operational issues; escalate complex repairs to maintenance.
  • Load raw materials and monitor feed mechanisms to maintain a steady flow of materials.
  • Operate forklifts to transport raw materials, finished products, and supplies around the facility.
  • Clear jams, remove excess or defective materials, and ensure smooth continuous operation.
  • Start up and monitor machines, adjusting temperature, pressure, and speed for optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
  • Record production metrics including machine settings, output, and inspection data.
  • Conduct test runs and adjust heaters, cooling systems, line speed, and tension controls as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience is a strong plus.
  • Proven history of good attendance.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, and reaching. Ability to lift 50 pounds (for short bursts).
