Qualifications

• 5–10 years of ground-up custom equipment design experience in heavy machinery or high-speed automation.
• SolidWorks Power User with experience modeling large assemblies and producing drawings.
• Strong understanding of structural weldments, material selection, and precision machining tolerances.
• Demonstrated project leadership with schedules, costs, and cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for high-speed, multi-axis automation and robotic cells.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to brainstorm cost-effective, high-performance solutions.
• Break down design scopes into milestones and coordinate with detailers and fabricators.
• Integrate hydraulics, pneumatics, and servo-driven mechanics in designs.
• Conduct early design reviews to identify hazards and ensure shop-ready releases.
• Serve as technical contact for global clients; ensure cycle times and safety specs meet standards.
• Manage release schedules and BOMs; resolve on-floor assembly issues in real time.
