Job summary

Reliant Management in Roseland, CA, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to serve as Director of Staff Development, overseeing orientation, education, and learning opportunities within a supportive environment. This full-time role focuses on developing staff competencies and ensuring safe, high-quality resident care.

You will supervise scheduling, collaborate with nursing leadership, implement infection control, and coordinate nursing staff to meet state and facility standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience nursing as an LVN and supervisory DSD role.
• Current LVN license in CA and certification as DSD by California Department of Public Health.
• Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation, educational and learning opportunities within a supportive environment.
• Assist personnel in gaining knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to safely and effectively perform duties involved in resident care.
• Schedule CNAs and coordinate with Director of Nursing to monitor nursing activities for quality care meeting standards.
• Direct the infection prevention and control program and its activities.
• Execute physician orders and provide nursing support using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Communicate results of laboratory and other diagnostic testing to the physician, and evaluate signs and changes in patient condition.
• Ensure the care and safety of patients.
• Perform other LVN duties as assigned.
• Schedule AM, PM, and NOC shifts/rotations.
