Job Summary

The LVN supports residents' health needs, including medication administration and injections. Responsible for monitoring behaviors and conditions to maintain well-being, advocating for individuals, and supporting their daily living goals per the Program Plan.

Job Responsibilities

• Administer medications following the five rights
• Attend doctor appointments and communicate concerns
• Assist with daily activities like bathing, grooming, and meal prep
• Assess wounds, assist with dressing changes and breathing treatments
• Audit medications during cycles
• Perform g-tube insertions and colostomy care
• Administer intramuscular and insulin injections
• Evaluate neurological and consciousness levels post-seizure or trauma
• Support behavioral episodes and individual needs
• Document daily notes and report any unusual behaviors or injuries
• Identify signs of infection
• Perform physical assessments and vital sign checks
• Participate in community outings
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• 1 year supporting adults with developmental disabilities
• Licensed Vocational Nurse License (Required)
• First Aid / CPR and CPI certification
• At least 21 years old
• California Driver’s License
• Successful completion of pre-employment checks including background

• AM or NOC shifts
