Job summary

Shasta College, part of the Shasta-Tehama-Trinity Joint Community College District, invites applications for a full-time instructional faculty member to lead the Licensed Vocational Nursing program and teach nursing courses.

The candidate must hold a California RN license or higher with a Master; degree in Nursing, and meet BVNPT requirements. Expect online teaching responsibilities, with a competitive salary schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Registered nurse in California with Masters degree or in progress with minimum 2 years nursing experience and one of: teaching or clinical supervision, or three years of RN experience/administration.
One year of teaching or clinical supervision (or a combination of both) for RN or LVN program.
Must complete BVNPT approvals for curriculum and leadership courses.

Responsibilities

Teach classes and laboratories as scheduled within the academic calendar.
Develop and implement instruction aligned with course outlines and district guidelines.
Maintain online/hybrid course components and ensure regular student contact.
Submit syllabi and provide timely feedback; assign final grades per policy.
Participate in governance, curriculum review, program planning, and department meetings.
