Job summary

Animal Care Center of Carters Creek in Columbia, TN seeks an experienced Lead Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician to support outpatient care and surgical services, including dentistry.

The LVMT will manage exam room workflow, monitor anesthesia, assist in surgery, perform dental procedures, maintain records, and educate clients to deliver compassionate, high‑quality patient care in a fast-paced general practice.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) license in Tennessee
  • Proficiency in patient nursing, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and dental prophylaxis with dental radiography

Responsibilities

  • Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
  • Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Assisting in surgery
  • Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
  • Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
