MatPel Builders is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations for multiple high-end residential projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will supervise Superintendents, Foremen, and field staff, coordinating with Project Managers and senior leadership to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The position requires 20+ years in luxury residential construction, a track record on at least five high-end projects, and a CA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of high-end residential construction experience.
• Completion of at least five high-end projects in the Superintendent role.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean record.
• Advanced technical knowledge across trades and construction phases.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam or similar CM software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and oversee Superintendents, Foremen, and field staff across multiple jobsites.
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure seamless coordination and delivery.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, conditions, and quality.
• Enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance across sites.
• Establish production standards for self-performed work and monitor cost control.
• Recruit, train, and mentor field personnel and manage weekly labor allocations.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions; mitigate risks.
• Foster trust and clear communication across teams; maintain client and subcontractor relationships.
