Job summary

Voyager Technologies in the United States is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as Technical Authority for all electrical systems on Peregrine lunar landers. You will collaborate with Avionics, RF, Power, and Harness leads to deliver hardware and analyses on schedule and within budget.

The role requires mentoring engineers, strong systems engineering, and rigorous verification. A BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required, and experience with Class D spacecraft is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing spacecraft electrical systems for a Class D unmanned spacecraft or similar.
• Ability to mentor and lead small teams of engineers to design complex products.
• Systems engineering experience for controlling requirements, risks, and integration flow.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• 5+ years of experience in spacecraft electrical systems (Avionics, EPS, RF Comms, Harness).
• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Equivalent Work Experience

Responsibilities

• Single point of technical accountability for all electrical systems of a lunar lander.
• Develop, document, and maintain the technical solution for lunar lander electrical system within project/program constraints and baselines.
• Delegate technical authority of specific engineering scope to dotted line engineers that report to you
• Identify and characterize risks, issues, and opportunities; and manage execution of approved resolution plans.
• Define and defend verification and acceptance approaches
• Support configuration control and baseline integrity
• Review and approve supplier technical deliverables and milestone reviews
• Present technical status, definition, and defend assigned scope at formal program reviews
