Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Farmington, MO is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community. You will oversee nursing services, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure resident needs are met with professionalism and compassion.

You’ll guide nursing staff, administer medications, maintain documentation, and serve as a central communicator between residents, families, physicians, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical judgment skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation as needed.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect.
• Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety.
