Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Prepare, chart, and file resident records and physician orders.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required and report on shift.
• Develop rapport with inter-departmental staff to maintain nursing services.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy of resident care information.
