Berks Heim is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who has met all Pennsylvania registration requirements to provide high-quality nursing care on the unit. This role may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities in the absence of the unit Charge Nurse.

The Staff Nurse on the unit will follow Berks Heim policies to deliver nursing care, working collaboratively with other shifts and departments to maintain continuous, safe resident care.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing and hold a current license to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Leadership ability and willingness to cooperate with other department heads when assuming relief duties.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.

Mansioni

• Assist Charge Nurse in care and unit management.
• Maintain a therapeutic regimen for residents on the unit.
• Review and revise nursing care plans and goals for each resident.
• Assign and advise personnel in the Charge Nurse’s absence.
• Assist in orientation of new personnel.
• Promote continuity of care through communication with other shifts/departments.
• Make unit rounds to ensure residents are receiving care.
• Maintain nursing records in a proper, timely manner.
• Administer medications and treatments per LPN Act and Berks Heim policies.
