Job summary

You will lead nursing staff, coordinate care plans, and participate in quality assurance and surveys conducted by government agencies, while maintaining compassionate resident care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care industry.
• Plan the shift’s services, programs and activities with staff.
• Participate in the facility’s quality assurance program and surveys.
• Administer and monitor medications per physician orders.
• Deliver and maintain resident care and comfort.
• Respond to call lights and other resident needs.
• Make rounds with physicians and coordinate care with the care team.
• Notify physicians of changes, accidents, or incidents.
• Attend in-service education programs to meet facility requirements.
