Job summary

Wachter is seeking an experienced Low-Voltage Cable Technician to join our growing team in Dallas, TX. The role involves hands-on installations, reading blueprints, and leading small teams on multi-week projects while travel is required.

Responsibilities include installing structured cabling, CCTV devices, and performing fault isolation. The position emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and budget-conscious delivery with opportunities for certification and career advancement.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage systems, structured cabling, networking, and CCTV.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat5/Cat6, fiber, coax).
• Perform conduit installation, cable dressing, and termination inside IDF/MDF cabinets.
• Install and configure CCTV and network devices.
• Lead small teams on multi-week projects to ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious delivery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and site maps.
• Operate BOOM and/or scissor lifts to work at heights up to 40+ feet.
• Conduct system testing and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
